Working on his award-winning project proved to be somewhat difficult for Coelho as he had to really submerge himself in the surroundings. To get to the places these young employees were working at, he had to swim across the sea. "It's a bay with strong currents and numerous times I cut myself on the sharp edges you can't see because the water is somewhat murky owing of the silt and oils emitted from the wrecks. Twice my main lens needed to be fixed; it became wet and I had to postpone the project for a few months."
Still, the g**g itself has been one of his main allies in conquering obstacles and realizing his mission. "They always help me swim out to the wreck or back to the beach on the fragile rafts they use to carry the smaller bits of iron; they have to fight the currents and waves while they work."
