She spoke about how she uses her art to convey this message and what inspired her to challenge the received knowledge that claims long hair is a sign of femininity.
"Everything seemed to be falling apart, and that marked a turning point in my life. My marriage was on the brink of divorce, doctors found a sizable tumor, and on top of that I discovered I was pregnant. I found myself in quite a tough position. My mother-in-law mistreated me, and in my new professional path as a hairdresser, I was barely generating any money, despite having a consistent salary before," Galina said.
