"After spending several years overseas, I came home unemployed and then started to sketch. I gave it a try and opened a modest store at Etsy since I truly loved it and got a lot of support from friends and relatives. It worked out.

We inquired about Maja's preferred tools for illustrating. Early in her career, she revealed, she always started her work using conventional paper and pencil. "After seeing the sketches, I kept working in Photoshop separating every drawing from the backdrop in distinct layers. I color it then decided on the background and composition. Every piece of art took a lot of time to create and was very labor-intensive.
